Positive education: Exploring students’ well-being framework in Indonesia

Positive education is a general term to describe an intervention and empirically validated program that draws on positive psychology promote students’ well-being. To date, there no well-being measurement developed specifically for use in the Indonesian context. This article explores education, its relation well-being, relationship concept of Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishment (PERMA model) The sample used was 434 students Yogyakarta Province. data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis confirmatory analysis. research instrument adapted from Affect Negative Scale Children (PANAS-C), EPOCH (Engagement, Perseverance, Optimism, Connectedness, Happiness), Measure Adolescent Well-being, Meaning Life Questionnaire (MLQ). results showed (1) Indonesia structured into eight dimensions: pleasure, passion, excitement, engagement, relationship, presence, search, accomplishment, (2) shows dimensions show better fit model than PERMA model. Therefore, it concluded high school does not follow "PERMA"
